As a firm, BSWB works hard to provide the highest quality service
to its clients while maintaining balance in attorneys’ personal
lives. BSWB is continuing to grow both through lateral arrangements
and the hiring, training and promotion of young attorneys. With this
in mind, the firm looks for intelligent and highly motivated
individuals with an interest and dedication that will fulfill clients’
needs on high-profile, high exposure cases. Our associates receive
substantial responsibility and client contact and are expected to
form opinions and make decisions on strategy and problem solving
with the guidance of more experienced attorneys.
The nature of the practice is such associates work one-to-one with
partners on a variety of cases. BSWB’s aim is to ensure that each
associate receives a breadth of exposure, experience and mentoring
all aspects of their work. Due to this personalized and stream-lined
approach to client and case management, associates receive case
assignments and increased participation in complex cases based on
their ability as well as firm need.
Typically, an associate working on a coverage case will have
responsibility for initial case analysis, research, drafting of
coverage opinions and client reports. As cases progress, the
associate will be expected to have frequent client contact as well
as to attend conferences, meetings and mediations. An associate
working on a litigation or arbitration will, likewise, have
responsibilities with respect to all aspects of the suit
and the opportunity to attend court conferences and to conduct
depositions and arguments on motions and appeals.
