Eleftherios (Teddy) Stefas has a strong litigation background in a broad range of commercial and insurance matters having represented clients at both the trial and appellate court levels. Teddy also has substantial arbitration experience, particularly in reinsurance matters, having been involved in several arbitrations dealing with a multitude of industry prevalent issues such as allocation, follow the fortunes and late notice to list a few. A recent concluded reinsurance arbitration involved a dispute concerning underlying clergy sexual molestation claims. Teddy has also litigated matters involving professional liability, construction, environmental, products liability and breach of contract. Most recently, Teddy successfully argued two cases before the Appellate Division First and Second Departments on behalf of a national commercial bank and construction company.
