Helene Cartaina acts as monitoring and coverage counsel for major professional liability lines, including directors and officers liability, fiduciary liability and employment practices liability.

Helene joins us from a large New York firm where she was a member of the insurance practice group. Helene primarily focused on insurance coverage disputes in the context of first-party property policies. She was also involved in providing general coverage advice in the areas of directors and officers liability, professional liability and legal malpractice. Helene also practiced general litigation for some time, gaining exposure to a broad array of practice areas, including responding to government inquiries, white collar criminal defense, antitrust and other complex commercial litigation.

Prior to this, Ms. Cartaina spent two years clerking for the Honorable Frederic Block, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York and two years as an associate with a prominent Wall Street law firm.
