John E. Black's practice focuses on insurance and financial services law and regulation. John also has extensive experience in e-commerce and privacy issues.

John has specialized in directors and officers liability and insurance since 1985. He has represented several major insurers in national programs of directors and officers liability insurance for public-traded, privately held corporations and not-for-profit corporations, as well as insurance for employment practices liability, insurance company liability, broker-dealer liability and mutual fund and investment adviser liability. He has also worked with major insurers in drafting and interpreting insurance policies for non-profit and for-profit directors and officers liability, fiduciary liability, insurance company professional liability, trust department errors and omissions, mutual fund and investment advisor liability, employment practices liability, media liability, professional liability, money market net asset value and e-commerce.
